JAZZ – This site was all about happy, danceable Swing, Big Band, foot-tapping Dixieland and Traditional Jazz and more in New England.  Who they are, where and when they are playing.

I’m sorry, but I don’t know how to say goodbye.   Having inherited Parkinson’s Disease,  continuing the Newsletter is impossible, just can’t do it. Really sorry!

Started cleaning it up, and realized it should just be deleted.
I already miss everybody!!

It’s been a great run.  I’ll keep the address. marce@nejazz.com.

  1. In 1998 I met Ed Reynolds and his son Bill at his home in Wakefield. He had invited me there to talk about my father, clarinetist, Joe Marsala. Ed was a fan of Joe and had every recording of his in existence. He took me to see his collection and we had a great conversation about my Dad whose recordings Ed volunteered to send me on tapes(I love ’em!). I have a Facebook site dedicated to my mother and father, https://www.facebook.com/AdeleGirardAndJoeMarsala where I post articles and videos about them. I am making a video of one of those recordings “Jazz O’ Jazz” with Adrian Rollini and His Tap Room Gang(Victor 25085, Nagasaki on the flip side) and wonder if Bill still has his Dad’s collection, if so I’d like a photo of the “Jazz O’ Jazz” label to add to my video. Hope you can confim or not for me. I am,

    Thanks for your time😊
