I hope you can
hear how much fun we had making this recording. I want to
thank the folks in the band for the hard work and talent that it
took to record these 17 tunes in two days!
This recording is
dedicated to the memory of Brian O'Neill. He passed away
suddenly while performing in New Orleans on December 16, 2005 and we
miss him terribly. His untimely passing leaves a hole in the
world of music, in the great city of New Orleans and in our hearts
that can never be filled.
On a final note: Post-Katrina New Orleans and the Mississippi
Gulf Coast are many years away from recovering from the devastation
of the hurricane that invaded my former cities of residence, (New
Orleans and Pass Christian, Mississippi) on August 29, 2005. I
would invite you to consider the ways in which you might assist in
the ongoing recovery. One way might be to simply take a trip
down there and enjoy the sites and sounds of New Orleans. You
will find yourself very welcome there.
