Doc Severinsen and Scotty at the S.E. Shires Custom Brass factory.

"We've been working with Doc for some time to come up with his ideal trumpet. We've produced over 1200 trumpets now and Doc's model, the "Severinsen Destino 3 is selling very well, not just in the U.S. but worldwide.

Doc continues to be part of the Shires company and visits the shop frequently. At 86 he still plays better than most trumpeters ever will and is a joy to work with!

" I still have my Pastbrass company offering vintage and antique brass instruments for sale and of course play gigs whenever I can".
You can hear him on the 1st Saturday of the Month at the Acton Jazz Cafe, with the
The Seacoast Stompers.

Here he's at S.E. Shires Trombone Company, which is now introducing a new Trumpet line.   That's master craftsman Chuck Shepherd behind Scott,  being a big help.

Scott has been involved in the design and development of the new trumpet line and is like a kid in a candy shop as he gets to try out the horns as soon as they're built!!!

The name of his own company is PASTBRASS, and he deals in vintage and antique brass instruments.  We have our own line of S.E. Shires trumpets as well as the Doc Severinsen model and some of the world's top players are already using them.

Phone: 978-263-7580, or email pastbrass@verizon.net.

S.E. Shires makes what are considered to be the finest trombones in the world and has at least one trombone in every major symphony. They also make several jazz models that are being used in studios from New York to L.A.
