Steinway artist Robert Wyatt has been a lecture/recitalist for the Smithsonian Institution for 20 years and is one of the nation’s foremost experts on George Gershwin. His talk on Louis Armstrong, will honor the man who pioneered the solo performance. His distinctive singing voice was also used as an improvisatory tool, and we owe scat singing to his list of inventions. His charismatic personality and unique instrumental gifts won him universal and eternal appeal as “Satchmo.”

Sensational jazz pianist, Jon Weber, based in New York City and Chicago, is an international artist traveling beyond the U.S., to Europe, China and Japan where he delights audiences with his virtuosity. Largely self-taught, Weber has both perfect pitch and remarkable melodic recall, allowing his improvisations to be colorful, dynamic and intriguing. He is a favorite at New York’s 92nd Street “Y” and serves as host of Piano Jazz with Jon Weber on NPR.

Blues, R&B and jazz vocalist Toni Lynn Washington, “Boston’s Queen of the Blues,” has thrilled concert goers for over four decades, logging over 2000 performances throughout the world. She has garnered seven W.C. Handy Blues Award nominations, the highest accolade for blues musicians and in 1999 received “Album of the Year” and “Outstanding Blues Album” at the W.C. Handy and Boston Music Awards respectively. Toni Lynn was awarded the Boston Blues Festival Lifetime Achievement Award.

Denise Donatelli, West Coast resident, has released four albums and won three Grammy nominations and is one of today’s premiere vocalists. Her second recording “What Lies Within” made it to the top ten Jazz Week Radio Chart in 2008. In addition to The Los Angeles Jazz Society has honored Denise with the 2012 Jazz Vocalist of the Year award and more recently, Denise has made the 2013 DownBeat Critics Poll in the Rising Star category.
