This evening brought back memories of
The Gray Sargent Trio
at the Sticky Wicket in the late 70's, with Gray Sargent guitar,
Marshall Wood string bass, and Chuck Laire drums.
Now Gray and
Marshall travel all over the world with Tony Bennett.

Donna returned for the Finale with a heartwarming I'll Be Seeing You.

Ron Della Chiesa, a close friend of the family, MC'd the second
half. Wrapping up, he said that "The musicians on this
bandstand are an All-Star Group, larger than life. You
won't hear any better music anywhere!" He thanked everyone for
coming out for this fine tribute to Dick Johnson. |
