"What an incredible weekend at Jeff and Joel's House Party!!  Held at Joel and Donna Schiavone's Guilford CT home, it was 15 fabulous musicians playing their hearts out to about 250 enthusiastic Jazz fans.  It was Jeff Barnhart & Robin Verdier on piano, Lew Green, Bria Skonberg and Fred Vigorito on trumpet/cornet, Noel Kaletsky and Joe Midiri on clarinet, Herb Gardner and Craig Grant on trombone, Albie Barnard and Vince Giordano on tuba/bass, Bob Barta, Joel Schiavone and Jimmy Mazzy on banjo, Kevin Dorn and Tom Palinko on drums."

"This was indeed a very special experience, for the musicians and for the fans.  Joel and Jeff did a masterful job of organizing 12 hours of non-stop Jazz.  Every set unique, never repeating a tune, everything from solo piano to 15 piece ensembles, all in Joel and Donna's living room!  Intimate, up close in your face Jazz at its best, and I'm talking a trombone slide parting a fan's hair!"

"This is the way Jazz should be experienced.  And if that weren't enough, there was food fit for a king, and plenty of it, thanks to Carol and Glenn Ott and their fabulous volunteers."

"For those that attended this wonderful event, thank you!  For those unable to attend, you're in luck, as this will happen again in 2013!  Because this was such a success and so well received by all, I suspect it will sell out quickly, so I suggest that you buy your tickets as soon as they become available."

"Thank you Jeff and Joel and Donna, and all the volunteers for making this happen!"

Ann Waehner from Guilford       one session: Sunday
“Wonderful, music amazing, spirited”  --- Saw it in the Courier and was intrigued by the House Party concept.

Jean Boutelle from Branford      Saturday and Sunday
                “Wonderful, couldn’t be better, fantastic!”

Tom Griggs from Milford              Saturday and Sunday 3 sessions
“This is a once in a lifetime experience.  Fantastic mix of musicians and music.  Could have more pretty girls like Bria.”

Leonard Vignola from Stamford
“More singalong with Joel”  (right after this comment, Joel had his singalong.)

Darlene and Charlie Gunn from North Branford                        Sunday only

“Loved it!  Amazed at how so many musicians can come together  --- instruments and vocals – and sound great,”

Robin Lewis from Milford            Saturday and Sunday   3 sessions

“What could be better that this!  You could spend more money on a Broadway show for only 2 hours.  This is 2 days, 12 to 15 hours of music and 3 delicious meals for less money!!!”

Carol Hanley from Carmel, NY   Saturday and Sunday 3 sessions
Heard about it from friends on Facebook
“Sensational!  Never had so much fun!  Hard to top this!”

Joe Midiri (musician) from NJ
“This has been lots of fun – like a Family Reunion.  Being close up to the audience makes it great for the musician to interact with and be inspired by the audience.  Great opportunity for sharing and hearing the audience’s  comments .”
