Sunday, April 11th was another fun filled evening of happy music.  As usual, the band and singer Cynthia Fabian went beyond our expectations.

But for more good news...Joel Schiavone is back!!!!  Yes, Joel received a standing ovation and continued applause for his return to the limelight.

As you many of you know, last Christmas Joel sustained severe injuries in a skiing accident.  His recovery has been long and difficult.  However, anyone who knows Joel, knows he is a fighter and nothing keeps him down.

Joel returned to our stage full of energy and in great form.  To our surprise, he remained on stage for the entire evening....playing and singing as if he had been performing regularly.  You fought the battle and won. Welcome back, Joel!!!!

The house was packed and the audience was filled with many from the old Millpond days.  As Freddy and the band looked out over the crowd, I am quite certain they had a moment of nostalgia.

The band played some wonderful selections.  Joel played and sang his rendition of RADIO...as only Joel can do.

Sherman Kahn played the delightful Cole Porter's BEGIN THE BEGUINE.   Sherm had the audience captivated.  The silence was a tribute to Cole Porter.....and....to Sherman for playing with such heart and soul.

Cynthia sang AMAZING GRACE and another hush came over the house.

I requested the band play YELLOW DOG BLUES.  The audience got right into it and on the fourth beat gave out their howl .....
WOOOOOO!!!!  This was great fun.  Freddy, do it again sometime.

Freddy, brought to the stage, Toni Cunningham who was celebrating her 94th birthday.  Toni sang with a local band many years ago.  Toni still has what it takes.  She sang DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS..... and received a standing ovation.  Congratulations Toni!

For those who remember Don Smith who passed away last year, Freddy mentioned and played Don's favorite song...LOVER COME BACK TO ME.

We have lost many patrons and musicians but their memories linger on.

The band will be back at Aunt Chilada's on Sunday, May 2nd - 6:30-9:00.  See you then!
