The Acton Jazz Cafe is just that - a real JAZZ cafe.  Gwenn features jazz from Wednesday through Sunday, often twice, sometimes 3 times a day. Saturday afternoon is ours, first Saturday of the month, featuring fabulous  Dixieland and Swing, with the Seacoast Stompers:  Frank Stadler, leader and piano, Scott Philbrick, cornet, Craig Ball, clarinet, Jimmy Mazzy, banjo, Bob McHenry, bass, and Steve Taddeo, drums.   It's always a full house.  Even the bar seats were full.  www.actonjazzcafe.com

Hal McAleer's first video shows leader Frank Stadler's talent at the piano, the fabulous musicianship of Craig Ball on clarinet,  Scotty Philbrick on cornet, Jimmy Mazzy banjo. Unfortunately, the audio did not pick up Bob McHenry's string bass solo, because he's no slouch!  You'll have to come down and hear him live!

This video shows more of the musicians' talents, along with Steve Taddeo and his infamous drum walk. We get to hear these guys all over New England, (check out my calendar) and the first Saturday of every month at the ACTON JAZZ CAFE, 452 Great Rd. (Rt. 2A) Acton Massachusetts.  Half way between 495 and 95.  Eat your heart out, World!
