Billed as “The Band America Loves,” the original Hal McIntyre Orchestra
debuted at the Glen Island Casino in New Rochelle, NY in 1941, and
performed in legendary venues and overseas for U.S. troops. McIntyre
continued leading the group well into the 1950’s, until his death
in 1959, at which time musical director and drummer Don Pentleton
continued the band. Don is a veteran Big Band drummer, and each
member of the orchestra is a world-class musician in his own right.
